PROGRAMSRATES & ENROLLMENT

infant classroom

Ms. Sholonda

INFANT ROOM TEACHER

My name is Sholonda and I have been working in daycare for 20+ years. I enjoy the love of the children and the love they give me! enjoy working with my class because they uplift me and keep me on my toes, I can surely say that I was placed with a GREAT group of children.

About the Infant Classroom: The infant room is from 6 weeks to 17 months. Our teachers do more than just change diapers and feed babies. They provide a warm and nurturing learning environment. Each day opens with prayer and a bible story. While we do have fun and enriching sensory lesson plans, we also adapt our schedules and lessons to our students needs and developmental level. Tummy time, sensory toys and play, music, books, cushy blocks are all apart of the classroom. We also do quarterly assessments on their development and have parent/teacher conferences twice a year.

Toddler Classroom

Ms. Zamiya

TODDLER ROOM TEACHER

I’m 20 years old and a 2020 graduate from Livingston High School. I plan on going to Tyler Junior College to study law and education. I’m now the head toddler teacher which I love. I love to go shopping and spend time with my family. I’m also a member at St. Luke MBC. I sing in the choir and do praise dance which I love doing.

Director’s Note: Zamiya is amazing with our toddler children. They adore her.  She is working on her CDA and other trainings to add tools to her tool belt in early childhood education. She is a woman of many talents: consoling toddlers before they arrive at tantrum stage, playing with them, pottying training, transitioning from sippy cup to regular cup and learning to use silverware to name a few.  We are blessed to have her as a team member.

Ms. Jasmine

AFTER-SCHOOL TEACHER

My name is Jasmine Williams. I have been working for GPC for almost two years. I received my CDA May 27th, 2020. I also attend college at Sam Houston State University, majoring in educations with a minor in special education. I enjoy working with kids and seeing the joy of them learning.

Director’s Note: Jasmine is our after school teacher but she is crossed trained in all classroom.  She can and does jump in anytime her coworkers need help.  She completed her CDA while working and going to college.  She is creative and always positive.

Mission

GPC’s Philosophy

Our method of teaching is a “hands-on” approach. Children, as most people, learn easiest and have more fun when they learn through their senses and by experiences.
Our main educational goal is to foster a desire for learning within each child. Your child may not necessarily bring home a paper or craft every day; please understand that does not mean “they did nothing” at daycare that day. What it means is that the child is a participant, not just an observer, and is involved in a variety of creative learning activities.

A Word

From Our Founder

” Thank you so much for visiting GCP’s online haven! I’m excited to announce that God’s Precious Creations just celebrated their first 10 years! It has been a wondrous journey but by no means is it just settling. Here at GPC, we are working more than ever to make sure each teacher has her CDA or a degree in Early Childhood Development. The first 10 years have laid the groundwork for national accreditation. We are building our portfolio, and building the best curriculum there is so that we can achieve National Association of Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation. Only 8 to 10% of home-based and center-based child care businesses reach that standard. We are so excited to bring this goal to our small community.”
