the birth of

God’s Precious Creations Daycare

When Jocelyn Goffney had her daughter 10 years ago, she realized not
only wanted a nurturing, safe, educational place to take her infant daughter but one that was high quality. She decided she would be the person to open such a place for the community. She quickly went from a licensed in home care to a licensed center based child care facility. She then became a 4 Star Texas rising star facility. She sees the need in the community for high quality.
educational, and nurturing centers that working parents can feel confidant in
leaving their child in someone else’s care while they can make a living. God’s Precious Creations just celebrated their first 10 years! It has been a wonderous journey but by no means is it just settling. Here at GPC, we are working more than ever to make sure each teacher has her CDA or a degree in Early Childhood Development. The first 10 years have laid the groundwork for national accreditation. We are building our portfolio, and building the best curriculum there is so that we can achieve the National Association of Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation. Only 8 to 10% of home-
based and center-based child care businesses reach that standard. We are so
excited to bring this goal to our small community.
